- In the story people donate to Caritas to help them and get them food and water and in my life we raise money at our school and donate to a charity called St Vincent de Paul.
- Plus on their flag they have the southern cross and on the New Zealand flag we have the southern cross witch is 4 stars in a plus looking shape.
- In the story the people volunteer and help Caritas and last year at my school some people including me volunteered at the food bank and put food in boxes for the people who are hungry.
- And my last connection is that they are making a water system to go to eight villages and we already have a water system that goes all through Christchurch.
